The picturesque Carnival of Comacchio, on the water and one of a kind

In Comacchio, a fascinating area in the province of Ferrara, a truly unique event of its kind has been taking place for a few years now: a Carnival on the water, full of magic, colours, fun and unmissable events. Also in 2025 the “craziest” party of the year is ready to take off in this picturesque town, with many events that are each more interesting than the other and which make the historic center even more beautiful than usual.

After the presentation of the crews, which is always held in Piazzetta Trepponti, Comacchio kicks off its highlight show: the parade of allegorical boats. This year it is possible to attend on Sunday 23 February starting from 2pm and on Sunday 2 March at the same time. This is a truly unmissable moment because each boat seems to become a work of art that moves in exceptional settings and with unique characters on board: even Forcolina, the mascot of the Comacchio Carnival, glides along the canals of the historic center with maximum joy. Furthermore, each boat follows its own theme and involves all participants among canals, alleys and squares, therefore both on water and on land
