BUTTERED SwHEEP’S CHEESE CROWNED WORLD CHAMPION CHEESE 2024
Queijo de Ovelha Amanteigado, made by Quinta do Pomar, scooped the highest accolade in the World Cheese Awards 2024, rising to the top of the record-breaking 4,786 entries at Pavilhão Multiusos de Viseu in Viseu, Portugal. Super Jury member Manuel Maia, general manager at Tradifoods, a Portuguese judge said: “It’s sublime match of protein and fat,” he said, later: “This cheese is an adding icon, it’s like our Eiffel Tower.”
