First of all, however, let’s explain what they are: it is a typical appetizer of the Easter period in Abruzzo, a sort of non-fried ravioli or panzerotto stuffed with cheese, which however swells a lot during cooking, letting some of the filling which makes its appearance unique and very recognisable. They are served during breakfast, called “sdiuno” in dialect, on Easter morning.
