The International Festival of History For twenty years he has held conferences, shows and concerts in Bologna. With this year’s edition entitled “History belongs to us” we intend to recall the value of historical knowledge as a personal and collective resource, particularly necessary today to address the issues dramatically proposed by current events with awareness and responsibility.
In remote and recent history, all the premises, origins and evolutions that led to the current situations and dynamics have occurred. For this reason it is necessary to investigate it with a critical and open spirit, referring to the sources and avoiding partisan exploitation. The large network of subjects who have collaborated in the promotion and realization of the event in these two decades will be activated on these themes: institutions, associations, schools, teachers, students, representatives and operators of cultural bodies, archives and museums in the city and the territory.
